What are your busiest times?
My child’s been ill, can I still visit?
Do I need to pre book?
Pre booked sessions are only required for school holidays and weekends. Sessions can be booked on our website.
Can I just turn up?
Only during weekdays in term time yes. Drop in any time, please note visits will be limited to 2 hours during busy periods. Availability based on a first come first served basis. Please check our opening hours before making your journey.
Is there an age restriction?
The Play Barn is suitable for 0-10 years old children. Older children are welcome to help supervise younger siblings. Children over 10 will be charged at the adult rate. All guests must be supervised by an adult who is over the age of 18 years old.
Do adults have to pay?
We charge a small entrance fee for adults. We are an admission-based business and to keep the business viable we unfortunately cannot allow guests to enter for free when we have a limited capacity. We are a capacity managed venue and aim to provide a comfortable and safe environment for all our customers.
Is there parking available?
Yes, we are lucky enough to have our own private car park available, free of charge to our customers during opening hours.

CAFE
Can I bring my own food?
No, unless it is for little babies. Many of our customers suffer from allergies to various types of food, we do our best to provide a safe environment for all customers to enjoy and do not use some of the most common allergens such as nuts ourselves. We kindly ask that customers do not bring their own food and drink into our facility as this helps us control what food in consumed within our premises for allergy purposes.
Do you cater for allergies?
Yes, all of our staff are allergen awareness trained and we cater for all allergies. If you have an allergy please let us know and we can accommodate you in various ways. Our menu has an allergen key for gluten and dairy as well as vegan and vegetarian options.

What time do you serve food?
During peak timed sessions our last orders are 45 minutes before the end of the session and during off peak days last orders for breakfast are 11:30 and last orders for the afternoon menu are 45 minutes before closing (please check our opening hours).
Do you do takeaway?
Yes we offer takeaway food and drink, telephone and pre orders always welcome for non-customers of The Play Barn.

What clothing should children wear?
We suggest comfortable clothes ideally long sleeved top and bottoms, with tops tucked into waistbands where possible
Socks must be worn at all times by both children and adults accessing the soft play.
Also don’t forget to make sure you empty your pockets before entering the play frames. All the slides and climbing can mean things can fall out.

What’s your policy on parents/guardians supervising children?
Parents or carers are responsible for supervising their children at all times.
PARTIES
What is the minimum number of children required for a party?
Our minimum is 10 children, welcome to have less than 10 children but the total cost will be based on 10 children.
How do I book a party?
Please use the contact form on the website, call us or pop in.
If I don’t book a party package can I bring a cake with the purchase of general admission?
In this instance, please contact us prior to making your booking as we don’t allow customers to bring their own food and drink into The Play Barn.
Can I bring decorations?
Welcome to bring decorations, please do not stick or attach anything to the walls in the party room and no glitter please.
Can I hire your venue exclusively?
Yes we have an exclusive hire package available, always happy to discuss more bespoke exclusive hires, please just drop us an email to discuss hello@playbarnrmf.co.uk.
Can extra adults come to the the party we have booked?
Yes, our adult admission rate is £1.50. We have a limited venue capacity and try to make it as comfortable and safe for everyone. If you have a large number of additional guests due to attend, please let us know beforehand to make sure we can accommodate everyone.
Rules for fair play
Safety around children’s clothing
- Shoes must be removed before entering the play area and socks must be worn at all times.
- We recommend long sleeves and trousers or tights are worn to protect elbows and knees, with tops tucked into waistbands where possible.
- Do not allow children to wear or carry badges, jewellery or loose items in the play area.
- Glasses should only be worn if they have shatterproof lenses. We cannot be responsible for any damage sustained during play.
- Clothes with loose rope or ribbon attached should not be worn in the play area.
- Football shirts and other items of clothing made with synthetic fibres are not recommended.
Safety in the play area
- All children remain the responsibility of their parents or guardians at all times. The Play Barn does not accept responsibility for the supervision of children.
- Children should use the toilet and wash their hands before entering the play area.
- No sharp objects may be taken into the play area.
- It is forbidden to climb on the netted walls or areas integral to the frame’s structure.
- No food, drink or chewing gum should be taken into the play area.
- It is forbidden to smoke cigarettes or e-cigarettes, or play with fire anywhere within The Play Barn
Safety with each other
- Fighting or bullying will not be tolerated and guilty parties may be asked to leave.
- Please adhere to the age restrictions of the specific play areas e.g. Older children should not enter the toddler & baby play area.
- Children who are not feeling well should not enter the play area.
